History
Baigents is a well-known name in business to business stationery and office product supply in Northland. Established in 1929 by Moss Baigent as a printing business, it didn't take long before he branched into office stationery.The company was owned by the Baigent family until it was acquired by the Forshaws in the early 1970s until April 2006 when new owners Eddie & Irene Darvill and Grant & Sue Stone bought the business.
The couples are experienced in the stationery supply business with both Eddie and Grant, backed by the support and business acumen of their wives, moving through the ranks of management in well-known national stationery supply companies.
Over the years Baigents became an icon in Northland, renown for providing the latest in business machines and office stationery. Many of the team at Baigents have been working in the industry for years and the Stones and Darvills have maintained the principles of a family-run business while adding the buying power and product range of the Office Product Depot group.
